Yoram Bauman, "the world's first and only stand-up economist", has appeared at venues ranging from the New York Improv to the annual meeting of the American Economic Association, and also on YouTube, where his videos have over 500,000 hits. He has a BA in mathematics from Reed College, a PhD in economics from the University of Washington, and spends his non-comedy hours teaching in the UW environmental studies program (and also at Bainbridge Graduate Institute and at Lakeside High School) and researching the economics of climate change.
