As an Australian travelling all over the world, I have gained a deeper appreciation for dear old Oz. It wasn't until I was away from Australia that I realised how unique my country is. Not just its landscape, which varies from rolling, verdant hills to craggy mountains to pancake-flat red desert, but its culture. It took my moving away from Australia to truly appreciate the laid-back, friendly nature of my fellow citizens.
