Newfound Beginnings

"I use to rule the world, " that's the opening lyric to one of my favorite songs, "Viva La Vida." I use to rule my world some time ago. My children took over when they arrived and I was much obliged to relinguish my responsibilities for my happiness. I wasn't doing very well with that part of my life.

It didn't take much time for me to realize my happiness was ultimately up to me. A heavy burden to bare. After taking back my responsibility I had no idea what to do with it. I divorced and regained custody of my two little girls and suddenly life was better again. I can't say I was truly happy though.

I spent time on myself. Time experimenting with the past, present, and future. I took a spiritual journey from the beginning of my life through the present. I came to a conclusion about my memories, they were better left in the past - even the good ones. I now regard the future as an abstraction of my brain. In otherwords, it's total fiction.

The impass of my journey left me to regard only the present. So, I began living there. It's a cozy place where happiness lives as well. I highly recommend it.

After spending a mere five months living in the present and being unfathomly elated with my life, I found another happy person. We have just begun our time together, but she is so.........inconceivably amazing.

I'm happy.
