Some Dads get caught up in their careers and in the responsibility of providing for their family. I’m no different, initially, the same thing happened to me. I was so engrossed with making money I missed out on some of the early years with my oldest child. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Children form strong bonds with their parents early in their lives.
Does it really matter if you purchase that new car this year? Are you doing it out of love for your family or your ego?
Common American behavior is the Joneses get a new car every two years; therefore I must get a new car every two years. Sound familiar? Don’t get sucked into an “Ego-driven” life style. Live your life for love. Take an entire day and spend it with your children. Don’t turn on the television or mow the lawn; just spend the day with them. The more time you spend with your children, the more you will understand the need to do so.
