I have always loved cinnamon, but I had never thought of it as a runners nutrition element. I was thrilled to read an article on Active.com last week about the health benefits of one of my favorite spices.
The article notes that cinnamon contains a blood-thinning element that promotes circulation. Who knew? And it also has anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce stiffness after that turkey trot.
So, bring on the pumpkin pie and gingersnaps, and happy running!
