3 Tips from Ana Cabrera
Paper to Pixels- Hybrid Scrapbooking
Hybrid scrapbooking seems to be the buzz these days... but don't let this new word get to you. Paper scrapbookers can take full advantage of digital tools in their very own paper pages. Try using your favorite photo editing software to create a photo mosaic of misc. images. These random life samplers are a great way to showcase all those "extra" photos you have.
Create a Birthday
No matter what the theme, you can create an original and fun birthday party at home! One activity idea... As guests arrive, take their picture with a digital camera. As the guests eat and mingle, print out the photos. For an activity, supply your guests with decorative papers, adhesive, embellishments and more.. allowing each guest to create his or her own keepsake! This takes care of an activity and a party favor all at once!
Layouts under 5
Scrapbooking has taken the country by storm... however, it is not an inexpensive craft. At least not until now! Here are three quick tips for crafty penny pinching! Save Money by using the negative space on letter sticker sheets. The negative space can be clipped apart and used as an embellishment, used as a mask or stencil, and used whole... makes a great background. Another way to save money, is to make it stretch. As you use specialty overlays and papers, cut them apart for use on several layouts rather than just one. Use you computer to create background paper. The computer can also create wonderful titles... saving on stickers and rubons!
