Matt Naumann

Expert Guru

Writing is my passion but marketing has always paid my bills. So, unless I wanted to write for free the rest of my life I had to find a way to write marketing pieces. I started in 2000 by brokering my sales and marketing expertise to many different companies and in 2005 took over the reigns of an insurance program that I turned around.

I am intensely involved in local businesses being an ambassador in the local chamber and contributing pieces to many of the local business newspapers. I also teach a class in insurance business principles for the local community college.

I am also an avid sports enthusiast and may have even ghost written for your favorite national prognositcator. I hope you liked my picks. This sports genre affords me the chance to interject sarcastic humor in my writing which is definitely what I enjoy the most.

4 Tips from Matt Naumann

Management

So, What motivates your employees? What motivates you? Are the two in line with each other? If you remember nothing else remember this one motivating principle. Align the goals of those under you with yours and your company's goals and you can do nothing but succeed.

Rheuumatoid Arthritis

RA will hit you and hit you hard and it will always do it on a "I can't deal with this" day. Instead of changing directions that morning and stressing, attack it the night before. Purposely anticipate the pain and swelling every night. You'll find that the acceptance will reduce the stress and in turn take away some of the pain and anxiety. By the way if you wake up and you feel great, mores the better.

Pitching

Being a former collegiate pitcher I know a bit about pitching. Maybe better yet, how not to pitch. One way not to pitch is having 11 year old boys throw curve balls in the little league world series. The tendons and cartalidge are not developed enough to take the pounding and simply break away and tear. Unfortunately most parents don't know better because sports analysts ignore the problem because of terriffic ratings on cable. But keep this in mind before you teach your young wannabee the curve ball. How many pitchers in the little league world series ever made it to the pros?

Myths of non OEM parts

Most insurance companies will give you the choice between original parts and generic parts when they replace them on your vehicle. Always goes with original parts the savings are simply not worth it. Gone are the days when a car sits on a ladder frame which supports the vehicle. Now cars relay on the frame itself for structural integrity. It is designed after natures simplest but strongest design, the egg. What would happen if you took out a portion of an eggshell and replaced it with a ill fitting piece of shell? It will collapse. The same will happen to your car and more importantly you.
