Sid (Shea) Goloff

I am an Industrial Engineer by profession, a writer and artist by passionate choice.
As a business advisor for over thirty years, I have written many reports, articles, manuals and training documents, and have created a number of company newsletters. The nature of my life’s work has made me a keen observer, and an articulate communicator.
Recently my activities have revolved around my ongoing eleven year bout with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL) – an incurable but manageable (for me) blood cancer affecting the lymph system.
I am a volunteer with Hope & Cope (a cancer patient mentoring organization) - at The Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada, and am a contributing editor of its newsletter.
For four years running I have been an invited patient representative member on the JGH Quality Standards Committee and focus group, and a past Team Leader of The H&C Information Resources Team.
I am an active peer mentor – guiding patients diagnosed with cancers similar to mine and have attended two CPEN (Cancer Patient Education Network) conferences as a participating contributor.
My art is displayed at http://www.yessy.com/superdupersid and my art and writing are identified by a lifelong nickname “SHEA” - which will highlight my creative endeavors and maintain an association with my business successes.
