Emma is a 2012 graduate of Vassar College, where she focused on writing and literacy. She is now a special needs elementary school teacher and a graduate student at Hunter College, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She has had work published in a number of literary magazines, including the Ampersand Review, Poesia, and Weave Magazine. Her biggest interests are writing (of course) and education, both the creation of lesson plans and writing about ideas to improve the system. She also loves food writing (and cooking!), crafting (and DIY writing), running/fitness, photography, and music, both playing it and listening to it. She has spent time teaching in Ireland and working for a baseball/literacy non-profit and an arts camp. She is also in a sketch/video comedy group.
