Interests
Monica drives an RV. In 2008 she drove across Canada and the United States and wrote a book about the trip that is easy enough for children to read. Monica’s dream is to not only get this book off the ground but to take some of her funny poems, illustrate them and turn them into children’s books. Some people think that books are going the way of the dinosaurs, but not Monica. Sitting next to a child, turning real pages and reading text from those pages is a bonding experience. She wants to help with that bonding, and make children and adults laugh. Other interests include the theatre, movies, cats, dogs, all animals in general, all things Hawaiian, history, anthropology, Picasso, cartooning, different types of painting, photography and philosophy.
